Community talks and meetings played an important part of the life of the Vajradhatu sangha in Boulder, Karme Choling, and other local centers that Trungpa Rinpoche visited in his travels. Meetings typically included a talk on current issues of Buddhist practice and their application to community and domestic life, as well as reports on the status of projects. In addition to the community-wide meetings, regular meetings were held for new members. There were also conferences for administrators of the network of meditation centers ("Dharmadhatus"), as well as meetings with specialized interest groups within the community: e.g., Health Care, Business (the "Ratna Society"), Families and Children, the arts.
Eventually, this collection will contain all 199 recorded community talks and meetings given by Trungpa Rinpoche between 1970 and 1985.
