The second seminar on "The Nine Yanas" given by Chogyam Trungpa in 1973, a groundbreaking year as the first in which he presented a complete overview of the vajrayana path to the public. Outlining nine successive stages ("yanas") according to Nyingma tradition, Trungpa Rinpoche also gives essential teachings on Buddhism, including meditation practice, acknowledging and working with confusion, developing compassion, and transforming one's perception of the world. This seminar took place less than a week after the first Vajradhatu Seminary, the annual three-month practice and study program Trungpa Rinpoche led until 1986. Teachings from both "Nine Yanas" seminars became the 1992 book THE LION'S ROAR.
