Series: Naropa Institute: Celebrations (6 Talks, 1974-1981)

A collection of celebratory events from the early years of Naropa Institute, including three graduations, the first alumni dinner, first convocation, and a celebration for achieving candidacy for accreditation. Along with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, many of the featured speakers were closely involved with the founding and development of Naropa Institute, helping to shape what eventually became the fully accredited Naropa University. Common themes that emerge include the vision of Naropa Institute; the need for sanity, discipline, and tradition in education; the view of education as a lifelong process that does not end with graduation; and the responsibility that students and graduates of Naropa Institute have to the world, and many others.
