Series: Public Seminar: Discovery of Buddha Nature on the Mahayana Path I (4 Talks, 1975, New York)

A seminar that makes the bodhisattva principles of the mahayana path understandable and within reach in our everyday lives. Trungpa Rinpoche in particular demystifies the concept of buddha nature -- as well as enlightenment -- by indicating how it can be discovered through working on ourselves in accessible ways. Other core mahayana principles, including maitri, compassion, emptiness, and the bodhisattva vow, are similarly clarified. The frame of these teachings is developing an attitude of generosity, and using discipline and openness to uncover our inherent buddha nature. Note: The recording for Talk 4 is not available.
