Series: Public Seminar: Passion and Aggression (5 talks, 1971, Montreal, AUDIO)

A seminar examining two of the three poisons, or root kleshas (negative qualities of mind that keep us caught in suffering, or samsara). Begins with how passion and aggression function to protect ego. A path is then presented for working with and ultimately dissolving these kleshas beginning with shamatha meditation to see them clearly as they are. The phases of meditation practice and realization involve a simultaneous undoing of ego and uncovering of buddha nature. Overall, passion and aggression are viewed as "manure of experience", rich material to work with on the Buddhist path.
