Series: Public Seminar: Tibetan Book of the Dead I (10 talks, 1971, Karme Choling, Audio)

A landmark seminar that opened a fresh and accurate perspective on The Tibetan Book of the Dead, and was the source for the commentary section of the 1975 translation of the text by Chogyam Trungpa and Francesca Fremantle. Included are its meaning, relevance in both contemporary and past times, and origin. Trungpa Rinpoche offers extensive detail and clarification on experiences one has after death, and connects those experiences to ones we have in our ordinary lives. Appropriate for both scholars and non-scholars, the talks range from detailed descriptions of deities and visions in the bardo, to working in very practical ways with the dying.
