Series: Public Seminar: Six States of Bardo (10 talks, 1971, Allenspark, Audio)

An examination of the bardos (in-between or intermediate states) and the six realms (the worlds into which we are born). These are explained as not only pertaining to actual death and rebirth, but as a way to understand and work with the madness and sanity that are taking place in everyday life. In this seminar, Trungpa Rinpoche looks at how the bardo states and the six realms correspond to each other. He emphasizes the importance of relating with the six experiences of bardo in life and learning from them, which can help us to relate with others. This seminar was the basis for Part 1 of the book TRANSCENDING MADNESS, and is a companion to the other seminar in that book, "The Six States of Being".
