This seminar is about Jetsun Milarepa (1040-1123 CE), the legendary Tibetan yogi, poet, and Kagyu lineage holder. His journey and various challenges and breakthroughs are presented as teachings for the modern-day practitioners on the path. Themes include devotion, karma, renunciation, meditation, spiritual and psychological materialism, hopelessness and loneliness, retreat practice, ego, Milarepa's poetry, mahamudra practice, and expansive compassion. These talks are the basis for part of Chogyam Trungpa's book, Milarepa: Lessons from the Life and Songs of Tibet's Great Yogi.
