Series: University of Colorado Spring 1973 (10 talks, 1973, Boulder, Audio)

The third year that Trungpa Rinpoche taught what are now historic semester-long "Introduction to Buddhism" classes at University of Colorado, Boulder. The ten classes offer a clear, comprehensive overview of the Buddhist path, and also clarify key points as to how "spirituality" in Buddhism differs from Judeo-Christian traditions. The classes proceed through a succession of topics -- from hinayana ("narrow path") as starting point, to mahayana ("open way"), and including subjects such as "karma", "mysticism", "the sutras," and "meditation practice." One can come away from this series with a substantive, accurate understanding of the heart of the Buddhist path, and how Trungpa Rinpoche's presentation of it was truly groundbreaking.
